The town of Green River sits on the western bank of the Green River, along the I-70, about a hundred miles west of Grand Junction Colorado.
Town points of interest include the John Wesley Powell museum and the Green River Golf Course. Southeast of town is the Utah Launch Complex, a 3,650 acre site which used to serve as target point for missiles lunched from New Mexico. In recent years rumors have been circulating among conspiracy theorists that it is now used as the host of highly classified experimental aircrafts, possibly of alien origin.
